RISING STAR DRIVER MICHAEL ANNETT QUALIFIES 4TH AT SOBO

Chicago, IL – August 3, 2006

Rising Star driver Michael Annett started the weekend with a great qualifying effort for the 150-lap Randy Waller Memorial 150 at the South Boston Speedway. Annett went out 2nd to last on the grid and turned up a 4th place qualifying effort. Early in the race, a car came up from the bottom of the track and crowded Annett on the front straightaway and put his car into the wall. After the incident he pitted and the crew fixed the car, Annett than went to the back of the pack and was still able to work his way to a 12th place finish. Annett said, "Our results did not show how fast we really were today. Overall, it was a good experience for us and we brought the car home on the lead lap."

Annett is also racing in the ASA Late Model Series North Division during their inaugural season this year. He is enrolled in the Rising Star Driver Development™ program and racing for Lorz Motorsports.
