Devan Hall Makes Successful ASA Late Model Series Southern Division debut with A Fourth Place finish at the Watermelon Capital (GA) Speedway.

By Rising Star Driver Development/M.P.H. Promotions.

Leesburg, Georgia (10/09/2006):

Devan Hall made his ASA Late Model Series Southern Division Debut on Saturday October 7, 2006 at a familiar track, The Watermelon Capital (Ga) Speedway. Hall who lives just 50 minutes away in near-by Leesburg, Georgia has been racing a limited Georgia Asphalt Series schedule and so it was decided to give him a chance to race in ASALMS South Division and get some seat time as well. Hall made the choice pay off with a very impressive fourth place finish.

“ We got to the track Friday night and had a pretty good night, the car handled extremely well. It was just a little tight in the center of the turn all night, but beyond that, everything was good,” Hall stated.

Hall had a good night including qualifying fourth and that continued on during the race where he floated among the top ten before finishing fourth on the night.

Hall talked about his qualifying run, “We went out 4th to qualify and pulled off a extremely good lap considering the condition of the car throughout the day. We qualified 4th overall and a 6 was pulled for the inversion which allowed us to start in the 3rd position.“

“ My car was one of the only, if not the only car all night that would run comfortably on the outside. I could challenge other cars on the outside and use the high side to get back around them if I needed to,” stated Hall.

“ It was a fun race and I look forward to more great things in the future with the ASA Late Model Series. I like the ASALMS a lot and the way they ran their program,” said Hall.

In addition to several Pro Late Model Feature wins this year at various facilities throughout the South during the 2006 season, Hall has also been running in select appearances in the Georgia Asphalt Series. On August 19, 2006, Devan broke the Pro Late Models track record at the Mobile (AL) International Speedway in Mobile, Alabama and then going out and dominating the Feature for the win.
Hall's new track record at Mobile broke the two month old record of a 17.793 held previously by Steven Davis and was timed at 17.766.

Born and raised in Leesburg, Georgia, he has already seen much success in his career. He has over 50 trophies from racing including seventeen first place awards and he won the Bandolero Bandits Georgia State Championship in 1999. In 2005, he competed in five Georgia Asphalt Series races with three top ten finishes.
