Devan Hall Will Race Friday Night in Pensacola after a Fourth Place Finish at the Watermelon Capital (GA) Speedway.

Chicago, Illinois (10/12/2006):

Devan Hall heads to Pensacola, Florida with some momentum after a top-five finish last weekend. Hall has been racing a limited Georgia Asphalt Series schedule and Rising Star Driver Development™ gave him a chance to race in ASALMS South Division for extra seat time at the Watermelon Capital Speedway (just 50 minutes from his hometown). Hall made the choice pay off with a very impressive fourth place finish. “We are coming off a good finish and hope to take some of that experience and enthusiasm into Friday night with our team,” said Hall.

The “Night of Champions” takes the green flag this Friday night at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola and features the Bilzzard Series Race #5 with Pro Late Model races.

Drivers will be preparing for the last racing action before the famous “Snowball Derby” which has a history of drawing many of the country’s top short track stars as well as veterans of the superspeedways. The Snowball Derby is one of Hall’s favorite contests of the year.

In addition to several Pro Late Model Feature wins this year at various facilities throughout the South during the 2006 season, Hall has also been running in select appearances in the Georgia Asphalt Series. On August 19, 2006, Devan broke the Pro Late Models track record at the Mobile (AL) International Speedway in Mobile, Alabama and then went out and dominated the Feature for the win.
Hall's new track record at Mobile broke the two month old record of a 17.793 held previously by Steven Davis and was timed at 17.766.

Born and raised in Leesburg, Georgia, he has already seen much success in his career. He has over 50 trophies from racing including seventeen first place awards and he won the Bandolero Bandits Georgia State Championship in 1999. In 2005, he competed in five Georgia Asphalt Series races with three top ten finishes.
