Peach State Driver, Devan Hall Continues His work in Progress 2006 Season. Finishes Ninth at the Five Flags (FL) Speedway in Pro Late Models Competition.

By Rising Star Driver Development/M.P.H. Promotions.

Leesburg, Georgia (10/19/2006):

Leesburg, Georgia teenager, Devan Hall continues to make progress through the 2006 season. The versatility of the Peach State driver continues to shine through as he gains experience in a wide variety of Late Model events throughout the Southeast section of the United States.

Hall and his Rising Star Driver Development crew made their way down to the fast _ mile high-banked paved oval of the Five Flags (FL) Speedway in Pensacola, Florida on Friday October 13, 2006 for the Pro Late Models Season Championship 100-lap Feature.

" We showed up in Pensacola for this past weekend's race with a positive attitude since we just came off of a good run the previous week in the ASALMS South," stated Hall. "We practiced Thursday night and got the car pretty close to where it needed to be, a little pushy all the way around the turns," Hall explained.

" However, a rain came the next day and washed all of the rubber off the track and everything that we had done the previous day was completely thrown out of the window," continued Hall. "The car never handled the same again. The car was extremely loose for the rest of the day and none of the changes that we made seemed to correct the issue."

Hall would qualify 11th out of 22 cars and would start the 100-lap Pro Late Models Season Championship race from the inside of the sixth row.

" The car was still exceptionally loose. We started the race and fell back quickly, I was doing everything I could to keep from spinning out, the car was the worst it had been all day," continued Hall.
A competition yellow came out at Lap 50 allowing the teams to change two tires, fill the tank full of fuel, and make any adjustments they can in a 10 minute time span. "We came into the pits at lap 50 to put on 2 new right side tires and we made an astronomical amount of adjustments to experiment to see if we could get the car to tighten up some," Hall continued.

Hall began picking his way through the pack and finally cracked the Top 10. "It tightened up almost perfectly, it got a little too tight in the center and still wasn't tight enough coming off of the turns," Hall explained. "However, we still had a decent finish of a ninth place which I am pretty happy with considering how bad our car was the entire day of the race," he ended.

The week before, Hall made his ASA Late Model Series Southern Division Presented by GM Performance Parts debut back on Saturday October 7, 2006 at the Watermelon Capital (GA) Speedway in Cordele, Georgia for the running of the Watermelon 100.

Hall came home with an impressive fourth place finish at the fast 4/10s mile semi-banked paved oval after Qualifying fourth in the ASALMS Southern Division season high field of 24 machines. Ryan Lawler would go on to win the Feature over Matt Hawkins, Keeton Hanks, and Hall.

In addition to several Pro Late Model Feature wins at various facilities throughout the South during the 2006 season, Hall has also been running in select appearances in the Georgia Asphalt Series, where despite limited appearances, ranks 32nd in the points chase.

Born and raised in Leesburg, Georgia, he has already seen much success in his career. He has over 50 trophies from racing including seventeen first place awards and he won the Bandolero Bandits Georgia State Championship in 1999. In 2005, he competed in five Georgia Asphalt Series races with three top ten finishes.
