DEVAN HALL HOPES TO SHINE LIKE A STAR IN NASHVILLE

By Rising Star Driver Development/Kevin Ramsell

Leesburg, GA (10/26/2006):

Nashville, TN is well known for taking a local music star and making them a country music superstar. Devan Hall is hoping that his first trip to Nashville’s Motor City Motorplex will give him the same results in the world of auto racing. Since 1904 the Music City Motorplex has been a part of the auto racing scene. The list of drivers is long and distinguished. The 5/8th's asphalt track has been a proving ground for drivers for over a century including the likes of: Buck Baker, Lee Petty, Fireball Roberts, Glen Wood, Coo Coo Marlin, Bobby Allison, Darrell Waltrip, Sterling Marlin and Chad Chaffin. The 17-year-old pilot from Leesburg, GA will attempt to make his second ASA Late Model Series start in the All-American 200-lap event on Sunday, November 5th.

“ We’re going to Nashville with a positive outlook and hope for a good finish,” Hall recently stated. “I think that we have a good car and a chance for a good finish even though I have never run this track before.”

Hall recently made his ASA Late Model Series Southern Division debut back on October 7th at The Watermelon Capital Speedway in Cordele, GA. He qualified fourth, started 3rd after the invert, stayed in the top-ten throughout the event and came home with a fourth place finish.

“ I look forward to learning to drive this track and to competing with the ASA Late Model Series and its competitors again,” Hall stated. “Our goal is to qualify for this race, stay out of trouble, and have a good run.”

Hall has high expectations in regards to the famous Speedway located outside of the famed Music City, “We’re prepared and hoping for the best this weekend.”

He has the confidence to do well as he proved that earlier this year as he set a new track record and dominated the feature on August 19th at the Mobile International Speedway in Mobile, Alabama.
Along with the 50 trophies from racing that includes 17 first place awards and the Bandolero Bandits State Championships in 1999, and three top-ten finishes this year in the Georgia Asphalt Series, Devan Hall will be one driver hoping to become the next Nashville star.

Qualifying is scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 4th at 2:30 p.m. The ASA Late Model Series All-American 200 will take place on Sunday, November 5th at 1:00 p.m.
